Message when asked about 1pc shafts. I am not questioning if its possible in general, but how common, or possible it would be to happen to our cars. I've unfortunately had the pleasure of dropping trannies about 6 or so times now and I wonder how possible this driveshaft problem may be for us. Two reasons. 1. the exhaust setup. I know with my x pipe, the two pipes are pretty close. Close enough where i do not think the broken driveshaft will be able to get between them and pole vault the car. Secondly. The cross brace right about where the x/h pipe meets the cat back. I think that brace will prevent the shaft from again dropping, should it even make it past the exhaust, and causing the car to flip. This may have been/be a valid concern on cars w/ a totally exposed driveshaft, or whatever, but i really dont see it being a possibility on our cars. Lastly, even if those two reasons i gave fail, they would at least buy you some extra time to get the car slowed down to where its not a danger of flipping the car anymore. When a driveshaft breaks and slaps around under there its like you're car just took a missile. Its freakin loud, and kinda scary if you dont know what it is.

Oh, and let me just give personal experience. I've broken two shafts at the track, neither of which ever dropped below the exhaust. And thats after dragging the car around w/ a tow truck too, a much longer time frame that the shaft was slapping around.

It is ridiculous claiming that video games influence children. For instance, if Pac-man affected kids born in the eighties, we should by now have a bunch of teenagers who run around in darkened rooms and eat pills while listening to monotonous electronic music.
